Workshops – Learn. Create. Perform.

During the Easter and Summer holidays, we run exciting project-based musical theatre workshops where students rehearse and stage a fully costumed show in just five days.

It’s a brilliant confidence-booster and a chance to make new friends while developing skills in singing, dance and acting — all leading to a performance for family and friends at The Upstagers Barn.

Workshops are extremely popular and typically sell out quickly, sometimes on the day they are announced!

New workshop announced!

Our ‘I See the Light’ Easter workshop runs from 30 March to 2 April 2026, during which students will rehearse and perform a fully costumed musical in just four days.

The week costs £120 and includes an exclusive workshop T-shirt, with a performance for parents in The Barn on the final day.

Masterclasses – Learn from the Pros

Typically in the spring, we welcome performing arts professionals into The Upstagers Barn to deliver specialist masterclasses in musical theatre, dance, singing and acting.

These focused sessions give students the chance to train in smaller groups, build new skills and gain insight into the professional industry.

Past guests have included West End performers, choreographers and vocal coaches who have helped our young performers take their technique and confidence to the next level.

Showcases – Live at Yeadon Town Hall

Twice each year, our Academy students take to the stage at Yeadon Town Hall for spectacular showcases celebrating everything they’ve learned in class.

These professionally-staged evenings are a wonderful opportunity for family, friends and the wider community to watch our young performers shine.

Tickets go on sale a few months before each show and can be booked online or by phone, via upstagers.org.uk/boxoffice
